Next Steps

There’s Nothing Left to Do

We spend so much of life trying to fix ourselves. Be better. Do better. Try harder next time. We think if we just had one more chance or another learned discipline, things would finally change.

But Easter confronts that idea.

You don’t need a better version of yourself. What you need is a Savior.

Someone who takes your place entirely.

Jesus came to become your substitute. Your sin placed on Him. His righteousness placed on you. This is the great exchange.

And the resurrection is the proof. The payment went through. Accepted. Complete.

So why do we keep trying to fix what He has already finished? You are free from what He carried. You stand in what He gave.

This is the invitation. Trust Him. To stop negotiating with your past and start standing in what He finished. He isn’t one option among many. He is the only One.

Read: Acts 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24

Acts 4:12 —

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 —

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1 Peter 2:24 —

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

Reflect: Where in your life are you still trying to “fix” what Jesus has already finished?
