About Made New Fellowship
A community being made new in Christ.
Why We Exist
Reveal Christ. Renew Lives.
We exist to help people know, love, and encounter Jesus — not as a distant figure, but as Savior and Lord.
Our Vision
To transform lives through the power of the Holy Spirit with Jesus’ love.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2 Corinthians 5:17
How We Got Here
Made New Fellowship began in 2007 as a video venue of Water of Life Community Church. From the beginning, this work was planted as Summit Water of Life under the leadership of Pastor James Marano.
The church was shaped by a passion for God and a compassion for people. Along the way, God met us through seasons of growth and seasons of change. He clarified our calling, deepened our faith, and formed us into a community centered on Jesus.
In 2025, after a season of prayer and discernment, we embraced a new name: Made New Fellowship. This wasn’t about distancing ourselves from the past. It was about giving language to the work God is doing among us now and trusting Him for what He will continue to do.
Why “Made New”?
In Christ, God makes us new.
The name Made New comes from the promise of Scripture that in Christ, lives are transformed and renewed from the inside out.
We’ve seen God restore faith, heal hearts, and draw people closer to Himself. That renewal often unfolds over time through grace, patience, and the steady work of the Holy Spirit.
We tend to think of restoration as being put back the way we were. But in Christ, God does something deeper. He makes us new. What was broken becomes redeemed. What was lost becomes found. What was shattered becomes whole. What was weak becomes strong. What was heavy becomes held by grace.
Like kintsugi pottery, where broken pieces are mended with gold, we believe God doesn’t discard what’s been fractured. He redeems it and, in His hands, makes it beautiful.
Our Core Values
These values shape how we follow Jesus and how we love one another.
Our Beliefs
We’re a Bible-believing church centered on Jesus.
If you’d like a clearer picture of our doctrine and convictions, here’s a simple overview.
God
There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Equal in power and in glory, this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
Scripture
The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teaching, His substitutionary atoning death and bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to Earth.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.
Humanity & Salvation
All people are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore under condemnation; God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Jesus Christ baptizes a seeking believer with the Holy Spirit with power for service, often subsequent to regeneration.
The Church
The universal Church is the living spiritual body of which Christ is Head and all regenerated persons are the members.
Our Team
We’re pastors, leaders, and servants committed to walking with people as God renews lives, one step at a time.
Pastor James Marano
Lead Pastor
Pastor James believes pastoring people is a sacred calling and a profound privilege. He finds deep joy in leading others on their journey with God at Made New Fellowship. What fuels his passion for ministry is watching God transform lives in real and lasting ways.
When he’s not at church, you’ll likely find him spending time with his family at the beach or out fishing. He admits that his biggest pet peeve is when people chew with their mouths open—but don’t worry, Jesus still loves you anyway.
Outside of Christ, his greatest hero is his dad, Tony, who modeled integrity, character, and a genuine love for others—lessons that continue to shape James’ life and leadership today.
