If God really wanted to move the world, why would He work like this?
We expect lightning. Angels. A booming voice from the sky. Instead, God keeps choosing people. Ordinary ones. Inconsistent ones. People who still lose their temper, forget to pray, and wonder if they’re even qualified.
That’s the strange plan.
From the beginning, God breathed His life into humanity and entrusted them with responsibility. When that authority was broken, He didn’t abandon the idea. He restored it. Jesus didn’t come only to save us, but to hand the mission back to us. God in the flesh. Then God in His people.
That means your life isn’t an accident or a placeholder. You aren’t just waiting for heaven. You carry heaven in you. God works through people to reach people, and He has chosen to work through you.
We often want results without rhythm. We want God to move through us without slowing down to be with Him. But what fills you is what flows out of you.
Presence comes before power.
Jesus didn’t move with authority because He was busy. He moved with authority because He was anchored. Long before the crowds showed up, He was alone with the Father. Prayer shaped His presence. Presence shaped His impact.
Made New isn’t only about being changed. It’s about being sent. God reveals Christ by renewing lives, often through one conversation, one prayer, one obedient step.
God’s plan hasn’t changed. He still uses people. The question isn’t whether God will move, but whether you will.
Read: John 20:21–22
21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
Reflect: Who is one person God may be asking you to pray for and move toward this week?
