What good is a belief that never moves you? James calls us to a living faith—a faith that sees, values, and acts. Not one that shows partiality to the powerful, but one that reflects God’s heart for the overlooked.
It’s easy to say we believe in Jesus. But James reminds us that even demons believe—and tremble. Real faith goes beyond agreement. It shows up in humility, compassion, and obedience. Faith feeds the hungry, welcomes the outsider, and gives when it’s inconvenient. It looks like Rahab risking her life to protect God’s people. Like Abraham offering up his promise in trust.
Living faith loves neighbors, forgives freely, and steps out even when it’s hard. Not to earn God’s approval, but because we’ve already received it.
